"Broken butterfly." A series of gasps and fidgeting came just after the words, Zeta's voice repeating the phrase over and over again. Sat in the middle of a dark, damp room, Riku was being strangled by one of the employed mercenaries, his eyes rolling into the back of his head. As his body began to stop fidgeting, the man released the hold around Riku's neck, allowing the younger male to take in a breath through his nostrils. "Broken butterfly." The phrase was repeated as Riku sat there, dazed, his vision blurring as saliva seeped from the left corner of his mouth.
He was conscious, although it was just barely so as he sat there motionless, his eyes glancing about the room that seemed to be spinning. "Again." Zeta ordered as the men grabbed Riku by his shoulders and dragged him to a trough that was filled with ice cold water. Grasping the back of his head, they would dip him back into the glacial oasis, the water running inside of his nasal passage and causing an almost burning feeling. His body would tense as he was held there before being allowed to sit back up. Water rushed out from his mouth and nose as he fought to catch his breath.
"You're just...a broken butterfly."
"Ughhh!!" The pained groan escaped the soldiers lips as he was quickly slammed into the cement beneath his feet. In that moment, the soldiers immediately began to panic as none had seen Reku close the distance, he was practically invisible at his moderate speeds. "Wh-what the f-!?" Was the last thing the soldier uttered before he was struck in the chest by Reku's fist, the force of which propelled his body into his squad mates. Knocking over another ten or so men, the soldiers were in complete disarray as they continued to fire wildly at Reku, some of them running to break out the bigger guns.
While Reku played with the small fry, the commander of the squadron hurried to a nearby vehicle. Grasping the radio, he sent out a distress call, hoping that some sort of back up would arrive before the area had been reduced to nothingness. "This bastard is killing us! Send someone! Anyone!" He called out as the vicious impacts of Reku's blows were tearing away at chunks of the very cement and pavement themselves. The ripples created by impacts were like someone throwing a pebble into a still lake.
