Skylar wagged her tail as she trampled through the palm jungles that she happened to be in. It was hot and humid but Sky merely undid her zip-up jacket tying it around her hips with the sleeves, revealing her white tank top underneath which rarely anyone would see. Her scarf however, stayed firmly on her neck.
There were not any particular trails to where she was trying to go but Skylar was convinced that this was the way. It probably wouldn't have hurt her to be more graceful, but she was too excited, hence the tail wagging. Sky knew she could have flown all the way there but she wanted to capture the magic that she felt the first time going there. She hoped that Tadeo caught up with her, because in her haste she didn't check. However, she did manage to shout out, "We're almost there! Just over this hill!" Between breaths. Tadeo was probably confused as all heck as to the point of all this, she doubted that he could guess where they were.

The green-haired Saiyan followed close behind the excited wolf Saiyan in front of him. She undid her jacket, which he always saw her in, and tied it around her waist. The Saiyan touched his forehead, to see if there was any sweat coming down from it. It didn't feel like it, and he pressed on through the trees. Pushing leaves aside, ducking and moving his head, Tadeo made his way, not knowing where exactly he was going. He looked at his Gi, how simple it was, and how he wasn't really hot in it. Is it really that hot out, right now? The Saiyan continued, shaking his head and forgetting about it.
Skylar, who'd been in front of Tadeo for a while now, was extremely excited. For what reason, Tadeo wasn't sure of. However, it was a way for Tadeo to get out of his home, and it gave him something to do. He wouldn't turn this down even if Christel told him to. Well, if it was Christel who told him that, he might've given it some more thought. Regardless, here he was, trudging through some trees and non-existent trails. According to Skylar, they were almost there. Shrugging his shoulders a bit and sighing, Tadeo picked up the pace just a tiny bit. "All right, if ya say so. If I come out here for nothing, then it's on you." The Saiyan continued onward, close behind his half-ling friend.
"I swear, I'm gonna eat your entire race." - Tadeo
"Tycho is no longer Tycho. Tycho is now little girl. Yes!" - Majin Tycho
"Stupid scouter, coming off my face like that! Where the fuck is it!? There it fucking is! Hah!" - Sarai
Skylar giggled, this probably wouldn't be as meaningful to the full-blood as it was to her, but she hoped that Tadeo might enjoy the trip too. Skylar wanted to solidify their friendship the only way she knew how, by doing something stupid and dangerous. Like marching through the middle of an uncharted jungle filled with who knows what, to a place that might or might not exist. Hopefully, neither of them got malaria from all the mosquitos buzzing around.
"Nah, I'm sure of it..." she said rising to the top of the rocky face of the hill, she could hear the ocean for a long while but seeing the majesty of it all filled her with a sense of wonder she didn't usualy exhibit these days now that she was older. She in took a breath holding it while looking at the crescent cove of azure waves. The beach was an alabaster white with grains of mica here and there. Surrounding the cove on the inland part was the lush jungle the two warriors stood. The colors were beautiful and the sun shone bright.
Sky blinked and smiled remembering about Tadeo who was right behind her. She waved at him, signaling him to climb up too. THIS was why she brought him here. Well part of the reason...

Tadeo kept pushing onward. While he was walking up, he saw a mosquito pass by his face. With malicious intent and quick reflexes, he grabbed it by the wings. It squirmed in his hand, and Tadeo stared at it, mumbling to it under his breath. "I swear, if you didn't taste like someone wiped their ass with a baby wipe and then shoved it into the ocean to marinate it, I'd eat your entire race." With that, Tadeo lit it on fire, the black flames dancing from its wings and spreading throughout its body. He let go, and the black flame disappeared in the shade under those trees. We better be here soon.
Tadeo looked up to his friend. She was climbing something, apparently nearing their destination. Tadeo stopped dead in his tracks, watching her as she kept climbing. It occurred to Tadeo that they could hear the ocean. Looking around, he started to wonder something he should've wondered a while ago. Where the fuck am I? The Saiyan crossed his arms, looking around and trying to look through the trees. He couldn't really identify anything, so he gave up and continued to look to his friend, climbing. Once Skylar had reached the destination, Tadeo saw her look around some. She seemed awestruck, and Tadeo wondered what it could've been that made her feel this way. Soon, she motioned for him to come up.
Tadeo looked at everything he needed to climb, then back up to Skylar. I'm not climbing all this shit. He wasn't in the mood for climbing, despite it not being a problem if he did. Tadeo floated to the top with Skylar, landing next to her on the top of the hill. He turned and looked all around himself. He looked at the beautiful, majestic waves, the amazing white sand of the beach. He watched everything in its entirety, the sun glistening from the waves (which actually hurt his eyes to look at since he has sensitive eyesight, and so he looked away from the ocean water, this being one of those reasons). Looking to the trees around him, Tadeo looked at their vibrant color, observing the wonder that was the cove they were in. How beautiful everything was! Then, Tadeo looked to Skylar with the same expression he had while he was in the trees, and spoke to her in a monotone voice. "What the hell is this shit?"
Skylar completely ignored the scent of roasted bug and focused more on the smell of salt water on the relieving, cool breeze. Tadeo unlike Sky did not take the traditional route, rather he floated up to the top. Skylar did condemn the act, she just felt like climbing the rocks out of enjoyment, it reminded her of when she was a kid. What he said AFTER climbing the rocks did irk her however. She wanted to slap him up side the head, but seeing as they still didn't know eachother well, she didn't want to agrivate the clearly stonger saiyan for no reason.
"Ay, don't be such a stick in the mud." She said looking away to hide the disappointment she couldn't quite shake from her voice, "It's clearly a beach."
She then took a short walk off a long cliff... only to stop herself and float down to the sands. She waved at Tadeo, "Relax a little would ya?! Not every day is one that needs to be fought for! Come down her buddy and I'll TELL you why I brought you here."
Sky was a little sad that the view wasn't as impressive as she thought it was but then again, this wasn't a nostalgia trip for Tadeo, now was it? Looks like the ghosts of her past really did haunt her. She turned to face the water trying to grasp what it was like years ago...
But clearly, what ever was shared on this beach long ago was now gone. It was just sand and salt now.

Tadeo kept observing Skylar, his facial expression not changing. He wasn't all too good with emotional scenes such as these. The beach, the beauty of the waves, the majesty of the trees. None of that fit in with Tadeo, nor his dark history. Death followed him everywhere, and eventually, death took the part of him that saw things as beautiful, sacred things. After meeting Christel, and after getting to know her, Tadeo opened up to it a little more. Still, he's just not there, yet. In fact, there's a part of Tadeo that thinks he'll never feel that love for nature ever again. In all honesty, he was fine with that. He's more of a fighter, anyway.
Tadeo noticed Skylar's embarrassment as she looked away. His empathy got to him, and he felt bad for doing it. He walked up a bit, not looking at her. "It's great, kid. Really, it is. I'm just not good with this kinda stuff. I'm sorry." Tadeo watched as the girl walked off the cliff. He didn't react to that, either. He knew she wouldn't die from that height, and he knew she could fly. And fly, she did. As soon as her feet left the ground, she floated down to the white sands of the beach. She was probably reminiscing.
Tadeo would slowly follow, hands in pocket. As Skylar called out to him, Tadeo floated off the cliff and towards the sands, landing nearby the Saiyan wolf girl. Tadeo had no memories at a beach. Unless you count the shore he was at for his Turtle School training. He remembered being there with Christel, when her feelings and modesty didn't rise up completely. He even remembers going to Pan Fry Mountain the next day of training, leaving Christel behind because it was too dangerous for her. Flashbacks crept into his mind, and it was amazing that he completed his training. Thinking about it, this was the Gi he received from Master Roshi. Tadeo looked at it, from his torso down. Such memories this one Gi has brought him. Thinking of the Gi made him think of one more thing, something he really needed to ask Skylar. However, he'd do that after she told him why they were here. "Okay, wolf girl, shoot. What's up?"
Skylar actually blushed a little, and hoped Tadeo didn't take it the wrong way but, she was honest to god embarrassed about WHY she brought Tadeo to that particular beach. She could have gone to any beach but then there wouldn't be a point. 'God' she thought, 'This was stupid. Soooo stupid. Like I barely know the guy, why would he even care? He probably didn't even want to be here!' But, she really did want to share this with someone and she didn't really know a lot of someones. Besides, he was a saiyan. Who could go super.
Sky not wanting to seem like she was stalling face Tadeo with a gloved finger in the air signalling to give her a minute, "Would you please excuse me for a moment?" She said before tossing her jacket on the sand plunging into the freezing tide. Skylar contemplated drowning herself but that didn't really work out as she literally swam into a wave that unceremoniously dumped her back onto the shore on her back. If it weren't her in this situation, she might have found the starfish on her face as comical.
Of course, Skylar did the logical thing, tossing the starfish back into the ocean and brushed herself off more as a show than anything else as she was waterlogged as all hell. BUT, she was less scared now. Cold water usually helped... usually... she coughed a little then turned to Tadeo.
"I uh... brought you here cause my first friend and mentor used to come here... but um... after the war... most of the people I knew... my uh," Skylar argued with herself as to whether she should use the word or not but she did, "My Pack all went MIA and I haven't seen them since." She twiddled her thumbs thinking of how to continue, "So uh, I brought you here to um... I don't know... I guess to commemorate the second friend I made in this changed world. Everything keeps turning, like the little cogs and gears in a clock, everything changes. And so fast too! Like the blink of an eye. People are killed, homes demolished, families scarred forever...But nature? She keeps chugging along. Yes, she changes too gradually I guess, but much slower than people like uh huh? I guess that's why I chose here in particular."
Skylar blushed again at her stupid thought. She was rambling. "You'd think, people who can move at the speed of light would have more time in the day... but between all the stupid little things that happen, and all the fighting and all the death, I hardly feel like I have any time at all to relax. Always worrying about one thing or another, you know?"
Skylar tried to look serious now realizing what she was getting at. "Tadeo I'm always afraid. Always, and of everything. This wasn't always the case. I don't remember whether I chose this life or if this life chose me, but I'm so done being terrified. I want to get stronger so people don't have to end up hurt or dead because of me. It seems to me that whatever I do, people will always be after me for one reason or another. And I think I'm guilty about that, that's why I'm always stuck in the past." Skylar paused looking at Tadeo in the eyes trying to see if he says anything before making her request.
"Here, in this same spot I believe was the first time I'd witnessed a super saiyan. Teach me how to be a super saiyan. Please, as a friend..."

Tadeo wasn't really good with these sort of situations. The only reason he'd keep paying attention and feel anything was because of his empathy. Even then, he hated being empathetic. However, the way this conversation was going, Tadeo could feel a Vietnam flashback coming along. After hearing about Skylar talking about constant death, Tadeo involuntarily recalled the events that occurred 11 years ago: Tuksen murdering his family, his mother, the sole Super Saiyan at that time for his family, dying, and all hope being lost. He recalled the faces of despair his siblings had, as they were all ended, brutally and mercilessly, by Tuksen's goons. Then, his father, who was the sole person responsible for all this, ganged up by all of them at once, and murdered right there, beforehand making a promise that his youngest son, his youngest child, would be strong enough to give him the fight of his life, someday.
Tadeo's scowl intensified a little, and his pupils shrank as he repeated one word, one name, over and over again under his breath. "TuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksenTuksen." Skylar's words echoed in Tadeo's head, so he didn't forget anything she said. However, thinking about Tuksen gave him a crazy enough Vietnam flashback that he would have collapsed in blood bent rage. However, Tadeo snapped out of his little rage-filled trance once Skylar looked him in the eyes, as if nothing happened at all. His hands still in his pocket, it's almost as if Tadeo never went through it at all. Let's not let anyone see that, yet.
Skylar's words echoed in Tadeo's head, and he remembered the villages he visited, for a brief moment. He remembered some of the many faces there, most of which didn't exist in the world of the living, anymore. Truth be told, time wasn't an issue with Tadeo. He only had to face Tuksen after he killed his goons. However, this wasn't about Tadeo, right now. Now, Skylar wanted to ascend. She had the power for it, Tadeo could tell that. Unfortunately, he didn't think she had the anger, yet. He didn't think she had the traumatizing experience for it. He went through that sort of thing, when he first went Super Saiyan. Tadeo slowly lowered his power level to match Skylar's, slowly so she wouldn't notice. Tadeo also matched his stats with hers, so they'd be able to fight on par. The Saiyan took his hands out of his pockets. He put one hand on Skylar's shoulder, and looked at her, kind of a sorry look in his eyes.
"Listen, Skylar, becoming a Super Saiyan isn't all its cracked up to be. There are hardships, there's anger, pain..." Slowly, Tadeo formed a grin on his face. He gripped onto Skylar's shoulder, very tightly, as to not let her move. Then, quickly, he balled up his other hand into a fist and launched it to Skylar's gut, in an attempt to stun and catch her off guard. He'd then lift her up and keep her there briefly. "And pain, I'm going to show you. As a friend, of course." Tadeo would then form a Ki blast in the hand he used to grab Skylar. He'd fire it, pushing Skylar back. "Cut the emotional crap, for now! You're still a Saiyan, so show me that blood-bent happiness you feel when fighting. That's your Step #1."
While it was a little bit weird, Skylar shrugged off Tadeo's mutterings seeing as she herself was still wet from her trip in the ocean. Besides, he knocked it off eventually and looked at her back, black eyes like onyxs. Skylar was a little surprised at first when Tadeo put a hand on her slender shoulder, he didn't seem like the sentimental type. She went a little rigid, but less so than the last time he tried to hug her. His eyes now looked a little sad, perhaps what she said did dig a little under that thick skin of his. What he said next was a little bit of a doozy for her, Skylar wasn't actually sure how a transformation took place, she just assumed it had to do with a boat load of training and determination. She was going to respond, asking for clarification but from what happened next she assumed that, that was out of the question.
Tadeo gripped her shoulder tighter and Skylar froze, trying to figure out what the man in front of her was getting at, a grin on his face. It didn't really hurt but she did feel cornered. "Hey, um... I'm not-" Sky started but never got to finish as she was punched in the gut without warning, and right in the sore spot she happened to stab herself at. Skylar sputtered now being held mid air. She was winded, her mind couldn't process what just happened. Sky did manage to hear what Tadeo said however, despite being completely stunned. And before she knew it she was being blasted into the air. She blinked as she flew through the air cringing at her scorched belly.
Skylar regained her senses as she neared the ground doing a twist to land in a crouch, the sand around her absorbing the impact. She glared at Tadeo from her wolf like position, ears flattened. Hearing what he just spouted, maybe Sythius was right about Sayains being blood-thirsty, Tadeo did seem to be a full-blood despite his unusual coloring. She got into a defensive stance shouting "What the fuck dude!?" She growled loud enough to be heard over the waves, "That was a dirty move! You KNOW that's where I stabbed myself!" Her hesitation and fear melted with the beginning of a fight. That's the one place she wouldn't stutter a bit. That didn't mean she couldn't feel other "emotional crap" though, she was confused with why Tadeo started this seemingly random fight... she tried to connect the dots from what he said but was too busy planning a retaliation to effectively reflect back on it.
Skylar blinked behind Tadeo and attempted to bite him on the soft part between a person's shoulder and neck, using her knees as leverage against his back she'd also try to pull his arms back in an attempt to restrain him.

Tadeo squared up, ready to fight Skylar. However, after hearing what she said, he got kinda discouraged. Then, he realized that he hit Skylar where she recently recovered. Tadeo gritted his teeth and scratched his head a bit. "Oh, shit, my bad. Wait, hold on. Did you understand anything I just said?" Tadeo put his hand to his head, sighing. "Look, the point of this is to get you closer to transforming. I'm gonna put you through everything you need to get you to-" Tadeo's foresight suddenly went off. His eyes widened and he grabbed Skylar's head, pushing it back and keeping it there. "Are you trying to eat me for lunch? I'm not into cannibalism, so don't try to kill me! I'm trying to help you."
Tadeo would be restrained by Skylar, however he kept her head away the whole time through. The Saiyan's arms were pulled back by the Saiyan wolf's knees and grip. This was getting uncomfortable for the Saiyan. He didn't want to use all his tricks on her, but he figured she didn't have too many tricks, anyway. So, in the end, why not? Tadeo used a Firestorm, in an attempt to push back Skylar and get her off of him. Black flames would shoot outward from Tadeo, dancing all around the white sands. Turning around and facing Skylar, Tadeo would put his head down a bit, looking menacing at her.
"Listen to me, Skylar. In order to become a Super Saiyan, you need to feel that pain and anger, whether it be emotional or physical. This is just to help you. So, do me a favor and don't die while I pound you into the sand, okay?" Tadeo reformed a smirk on his face. This Saiyan knew he shouldn't be an asshole to his friend; however this was the only way he knew how to get to her. He would only get increasingly powerful and he'll only piss her off more. At least, that'll be his goal. His face got serious, briefly.
"You're not weak, I can tell you that. You have the potential to become a Super Saiyan. So, please don't bore me. I won't be happy if you end up not transforming or giving me a challenge." Tadeo squared up again, this time completely ready. The future-seeing Saiyan smirked evilly, his blood pumping. With palm out and extended towards Skylar, a fist at his side, and legs bent, Tadeo let Skylar make the first move. "Your move."
