A forest of bamboo

Shadic decided to take a break from his usual training to go out and enjoy nature. Even after all his adventures and experiences, nature still managed to amaze him. Today he was making his way through a bamboo forest, careful not to disrupt the nature any more than he had to. He was not an overly 'green' person, especially since a lot of his battles wound up destroying his surroundings, but he still had respect for what a planet could produce. He had seen a few animals here and there, but as he approached they scurried away into the bamboo.

Now Shadic was snooping around, taking in as much sensual information as possible. The sights, the scents, the sounds, just everything was surreal. It had started to rain, lightly, which made traversing a little more complicated. Obviously, if Shadic wanted to, he could just fly around, but he wanted the full experience. As he continued exploring, Shadic came across a curious scene. In front of him was a natural clearing in the bamboo and in the center was a strange man playing some sort of board game with a bear? Upon further inspection, the game looked to be chess, or something similar. Shadic did not know what to make of it, but it was not exactly the first thing he expected to find in a bamboo forest.

William has never been as dissapointed as he was in this very moment.
Looking towards the bear that was sitting infront of him, William was being trumped by its vastly increased expierience regarding any imput of chess in the knowledge of man, possibly even having spend years upon years of attempts to play against men, William was completely outmatched.
The pieces trembling between his fingers everytime he lifted them up to put down as the bears eyes traced his movements slowly.
Yet that was when the bear took notice of the person that was approuching, making a low, soft growling noise before the man turned around and waved lightly.

"What is i-" before the man stood up, his body creaking lightly as a small spark made its way upwards before slumping down once again, spreading his arms weakly. "I am probably fucked am i not... What do you want to do with the body of a dead man."
Yet when a small seed lit up in the pocket of the man, he gathered a small cluster of energy from within his palms. "Touch the seed of the child that is hidden within my pocket and i will not forgive you.
I come from a simple planet, one that has been ravaged by a multitude of wars and fights due to a set of misunderstandings, confusions and even worse, murders.
The guardian of the planet itself has b..."

That is where William stopped his conversation, simply grabbing his own forehead with his palm and painfully groaning loudly.
It was not so much of the information that he spread but the emotional fragility that he was facing to himself.
The constant acceptance of having to realize that one misstep and he could cause a large array of problems to even the eradication of a race.

"Please do not feel alarmed... i just come in peace."

Shadic still was not quite sure what he just walked into. The bear, being a bear noticed Shadic almost right away and growled at him. The man also noticed Shadic, which was proven by the little wave he gave. The man started to say something before he interrupted himself. The man seemed a bit crazy, as he started going on about being a dead man and his simple planet. Before he could finish his story about his planet, he cut himself off again.

Shadic was overall very confused by everything that was going on. He peeked at the chess game that had been abandoned and saw one side clearly outmatched the other. He turned his attention back to William when the guy said he came in peace, "Oh, I come in peace, too! I just have...so many questions. Like, why are you playing chess with a bear? What are you doing out here? And most importantly, what are you talking about?" The whole thing was still very confusing, and understandably so. It's not everyday Shadic walks around in a bamboo forest and stumbles upon a chess-playing bear.

While noticing the friendly attitude, William simply sighed before raising his hand and a small wooden stump sprouting from inbetween the leaves.
The loud rumbling sounds making the bear get on his guard before a soft pat on the chess table by his lifted up hand was enough to silence the beast. "I come from another planet, it may sound like bullshit, but with the existance of other creatures you must know how true these words are."

His hand taking out a small seed, almost as if trying to set a guage for how much you could be trusted. "This is a seed that will grow a small guardian, small at first but then expand rapidly... I have to find a safe space for it and i had to win in this battle of chess with this creature to know the location that would be safe." before the bear made a rather loud growling noise, his face looking like he was trying to laugh before William then gave another glance towards your body. "So, how are you with the concept of people dying because they are not getting assistance or would you be okay with joining a small little faction for the sake of helping some innocent people?" before then realizing the weight of his question and shaking his head lightly, pocketing the seed again carefully.

"No... it must sound stupid, nobody would be okay with sacrificing themselves for the safety of others anymore in this world right..." His eyes starting to water, emotion painfully radiating from him, if one were to look mentally into his head they could easily see the burning planets as there was just one left over.

William started explaining himself and the situation at hand, and Shadic started to piece things together. First of all, William was from another planet. To that, Shadic just smiled and said, "Oh yeah, I've met a bunch of people from other planets, I've even visited a few of them!"

William mentioned how he needed to find a safe place for his guardian's seed, and the only way to get answers was by defeating the bear in a game of chess. Shadic took mental notes as he listened, still not fully understanding the situation. 'Strange, to say the least, but I've seen stranger. Maybe. I think.' William asked a question about helping people, something that instantly piqued Shadic's interest.

"If somebody needs help I'd be willing to lend a hand! It's the least I could do, really." William then tried to take back his question, mentioning that nobody would do that, especially nobody from Earth.

Shadic raised his eyebrows at that last comment William made, shocked that people thought of Earthlings that way, "No, no, no that's not true. Well, it's not entirely true. But I see plenty of people putting their lives on the line for others, myself included." Shadic smiled again, "So, what can I do to help?"

William simply looked towards the person... Almost shocked for a second, was he really doing this?
Was he really offering up everything just to help a random stranger?
He remembers some idiots walking around on earth, but this really tops the cake, but that was merely speculation in his mind before starting to let out a sigh, a annoyed one but also a content one with his reactions. "Fine, honestly."

It was then that the man threw a small mechanical component towards him, stopping in the air merely a few metres beforehand before the machine unfolded into a audio and visual transmitter, showing the old recordings of both arcosian and humanoid forces taking down a large collection of people, wiping them out.
"Not all people on earth are to be trusted, it is a fucking miracle that i am even considering telling you anything about this.
Because you could simply walts in and murder hundreds to millions before we could stop you, we are already growing dire in numbers..." before then growing silent.
Akwardly grabbing his own arm before creaking it lightly, showing the small signs of being inhumane.
Yet at the same time, it also showed he was 'human' in another sense, just another fragile being with the desire to be protected to keep what he believed in safe, before his eyes would raise towards the man before him, burning with a rather strong passion.
Was he truely just a person desiring protection or did he want to stand on equal footing while still sacrificing himself?

Shadic did not expect it, but William sighed, sort of nervously. He said it was fine, but was it really fine? Shadic's suspicious were proven when William noted that all humans are not trustworthy. When he spoke of Shadic's potential genocide, it seemed as if it came from previous experience.

Shadic awkwardly scratched his arm as he responded, "Well, if you really are in need of help you have two choices. The first is to go on about your busisness alone, defeat this bear in your chess match, and do whatever else you need to do. Or you can take a huge risk in trusting me, even though it is not a risk at all. And you're right, a lot of people here are not trustworthy by any means. You have every right to wave me off and continue as if we never encountered each other."

He smiled once again before finishing, "Trusting me, however, is low risk, high reward. Maybe. Probably. Depending on what I need to do..." Shadic took note of William's creaky arm, showing he was potentially some sort of robot or android. Even still, his offer to help did not falter.

While there was little more than terror in the eyes of William when he saw how easily this person was giving away his trust, before a soft sigh was heard.
Almost audibly escaping his mouth before scratching the back of his head.
Softly, yet simply letting his entire body creak as he rose up to the height of his body, showing a small seed once again before a small tendril of energy expanded outwards from it.

"There are the lives of a thousand children being carried on this single seed, place your hand over it and let your energy seep in.
If you wish to scan my mind, be carefull, i will take a equal price for it, but you won't be betrayed."

Untill a sudden small particle started to expand from within to the sky, constantly inverting itself untill a brilliant gold was visible and a pendant fell down.

"If you wish to betray us, shatter the pendant, with it you will be able to communicate with the creature with relative ease... For now, this creature..." gripping the seed tighter to imply the seed. "Cannot speak but is sentient."

After hearing what William said about Earth so far, Shadic understood why he was so hesitant to just give away his trust. Like he said, Shadic could just waltz in and kill millions with ease, and the way some humans and saiyans acted, that was almost a likely event. Of course, the hybrid knew he was not going to kill anybody as long as he could help it.

William told Shadic to allow his power to seep into the seed. Now it was the hybrid's turn to determine whether or not he should trust the man before him. William had made no effort to seem hostile, in fact he was playing chess with a bear. Thinking about it, Shadic figured, 'What's the worst that could happen?' William also offered the option of 'shattering the pendant,' which was meant to be done if betrayal was on the mind. Shadic had no intentions of betraying this man. Why would he?

Willingly, the hybrid held his hand over the unique seed. "So how exactly are a thousand children living on this seed? Wait, is this 'your planet' that you were talking about earlier?" Questions started flooding into Shadic's head, but he was not second guessing his choice to assist William. To him, there was no turning back now. Though, the seed was rather interesting.
