Quin sighed hearing the question about being undead. He simply removed his helmet, not knowing that his face was completely human again if very pale. He touched his face to check. "Ah...it seems my journey to tis place hath helped restore my humanity." he smiled softly about that in relief. He then turned his back to Skylar and pointed his hand to the back of his neck, which showed...a blood red circle with black filling it. "tis, is the Darksign. The Mark of the accursed undead." he explained with sadness in his voice.
He sighed again, put his helmet back on after giving Skylar enough time to look at the mark. "When that...creature....calleth me sane undead, he actually meant that I hath not gone hollow like so many others hath. Those poor men and women, trapped forever in thou bodies, never to go to thy afterlife. Hollowed means they hath simply returneth to base instinct or lost thy will to go one at all." He looked down when he said this, clearly the fate of his fellow undead saddened him greatly, and thus preferred to not think about it too deeply.
"War never changes. Only the instruments of war and the people who play in it."
"What is my true name? What Destiny awaits one such as I out here, outside of Lordroth?" Quin
"You can tear me down all you want, I will Never give you the satisfaction of my Death! I am ASPARA! FEEL MY FLAMES AND BURN!" Aspara
"I need time to think." Sonnelion
"Orkses neva lose if we run we'll jus' come back fer more! If we die it don' count!" Barrigan
Skylar wasn't sure what she was expecting, maybe some hideous mug underneath that helm, but that wasn't the case, in fact, Quin turned out to be just a pale-faced, dark haired man, looking to be only a couple years older than herself.
Sky tilted her head curiously at the mark on his neck though when he turned around, she'd never seen anything like it before. She tried not to stare as Quin seemed ashamed of it or at the very least sorrowful at its existence. Sky scratched the back of her head awkwardly and her ears drooped as Quin put his helmet back on-she had no clue what to make of all of this, it was a lot to take in. Especially, when Quin started explaining about the hollows and of his people. Her tail went limp and she attempted to put her hand attentively on Quin's shoulder as a sign of sympathy, her head down as his, hair casting shadows over her features. Her expression wavered.
"So... you're not quite alive and you're not quite dead? Is this the curse of your people? Of... Lordroth? Or is this something only certain people bear? Either way, you're not... in danger of becoming one of these 'hollowed'... are you?" She lifted her head looking up at the taller man at that last part, blue eyes flashing with an unknown intention behind them. Knowing the WOLF-girl though the slit-eyed stare would probably be at least a somewhat spine-chilling.
Many things were going through the girl's head, though most prominently the sullen thought of the brave knight before her having to transform into one of the wicked beings he described. But of course with her poker face, Quin wouldn't know that.
Quin was, of course, aware that he himself might become hollow, but at the same time, he did not want to become one. A determined look appeared in his eyes beneath his mask which Skylar wouldn't notice. The undead knight has no wish to become a hollow. He felt Skylar's hand touch him and saw a glint in her eyes as she spoke. The slit stare did not intimidate him in the least, having faced many things that have stared into worse eyes than that in Lordroth.
"Nay, as long as I stay Determined, it matters not how many deaths end up befalling me, I shalt not lose my determination. The reason those who hath become hollow, did so, wath just because they hath lost their will to go on." He looked at her and lifted the visor to look her directly in the eyes, with his own determined brown eyes staring back at her blue ones with a powerful fire hidden within. "I mayeth fall countless times. But like Thy glorious Sun, I too shall rise evermore." Clearly, he was using the very sun as inspiration for his determination. Then again, his fire element is quite the symbol to this.
He turned towards the path forward that would lead to South city. "Come my comrade, we hath much Jolly Cooperation to participate in if we wish to prove thy innocence!" He decided that perhaps....being positive would help in endeavors, and help against the trials ahead of them. He held his hand out to Skylar, clearly wishing her to come along if his words weren't enough.
"War never changes. Only the instruments of war and the people who play in it."

Skylar smiled at Quin's answer, she couldn't have said it better herself. The fact that he wasn't afraid of the future or what might or might not happen at the very least made the knight better than she. That determination, Sky once had it too, but time stole that from her and she prayed it would not do the same for Quin. But he was strong, she doubt that fire she saw would grow dim any time soon. Skylar turned around and watched Quin walk a couple of steps towards the direction of South City, her hands on her hips, still smiling.
She took his hand.
"Yeah, I suppose so. And hey, who knows, maybe we'll both find something of value from the turbulence ahead-learn something ya know?"Skylar said as she began walking stopping only briefly to turn back in rememberence of what happened here today. She made a friend, and an enemy. She lost something precious to her, and she gained something too. 'Besides...' she thought, if it really belonged to her, she'll get it back one day.
"You know what? Despite everything... it's a beautiful day outside..."
