Nexon seemed like he really wanted justice to be served for Reku's attack on Skylar, but the crimson haired Saiyan almost didn't sound like himself when he said it. There was a lot of anger behind his words, mixed with something like anticipation. Reku tried to defend himself, saying he didn't succeed in his mission. Not exactly the best excuse, since it doesn't change the fact that he did try to assassinate her. Nexon was quite confused as to why Reku was all beat up and damaged, and even though Reku tried to deny any claims of his butt getting kicked, Shadic had to agree.
"Yeah, I don't know who kicked his butt, but they got him good. I don't think he is in any shape to fight you or anybody else right now," Shadic still wanted to prevent a brawl between two of the strongest people he knew. That was his main goal in this interaction.
"Why should I let him go? So what if he's beat up, so was that woman but he didn't care at all. Why should I show him a shred of compassion when he didn't care?" Nexon would ask as he looked to Shadic and then back to Reku, his aura sprouting outward and enveloping his body in a white flame. The roar from his ki would cause the surrounding grass around all three of them to burn up and turn to ash, Nexon's anger personifying itself. "It'd be better if he had a taste of his own medicine and now that I have him here, I should let him go? He doesn't DESERVE IT!" The frustration in his voice became clear, an internal struggle taking place inside of his mind, what was right, who had the right to say and what he should do, there was no easy answer.
"He's a piece of trash and if I'm some sort of protector, I should get rid of guys like this right?!" The clear skies overhead began to darken as Nexon's power flared, his eyes narrowed as he focused on Reku, burning the image of him into his mind. The way he was speaking was if he were trying to justify his reason to attack but even then, something held him back from actually doing so. Clenching his fists tight, every instinct in the red head's body told him to act but he did not, somewhere inside of himself he knew that it was wrong.
Reku kept his gaze fixed on Nexon, who was obviously very angry with him. Seeing the red haired man let his energy out and his aura manifesting, the Saiyan King put his guard up. Letting his own white aura explode outwards before being concentrated around his own body, Reku thought he might have a fight on his hands. His facial expression became serious due to knowing that he was in no condition to take part in combat, yet also taking into consideration that it didn't seem like he had a say in this. “It was a bounty. I needed money. What better way to get a lot of money fast than to kill a weakling like her? You actually think those people are worth protecting?"
Shadic was quite torn in the situation he had found himself in. On one side there was an oddly malicious Nexon who wanted to put an end to his opponent's evil antics. On the other side there was an angry Reku who seemed to think people weaker than him were literally irrelevant. Both men were his friends, but they were basically polar opposites in their values and morals, "Now, now guys, let's not do anything drastic here."
He turned to Nexon, whose sheer power seemed to be making the weather act up. The clear, green skies darkened as spooky, ominous clouds rolled in, "Nexon, you are the protector of this planet, yes. But, you should only use fighting as a last resort to solve an issue. As far as we know, Reku hasn't done anything harmful to this planet," Out of all the times he had met Nexon, Shadic never saw him get this mad. Was the amnesia negatively affecting his control over his emotions?
Then he turned to Reku, who really hadn't done anything wrong up until what he just said, "Reku, don't say anything you'll regret," Shadic had noticed his friend's attitude change tremendously over the past few months, growing more and more dark as his power grew. It was sad really. Shadic would be all for Nexon putting him in his place, but the problem was the potential of death. He wasn't sure if the crimson haired Saiyan had full control of his power range yet, due to his amnesia, but the risk was too high to try anything.
Shadic did not like being in the crossfire of the two, but he was literally the only thing keeping them from going at it.
