As Reku walked towards the city, he saw a figure approaching very fast. He couldn’t sense it at all, but at this point he didn’t need to. The man crashed into the ground before the saiyan King, greeting him. Reku’s friend tried to explain the circumstances, but he wasn’t having it. Reku smirked, cracking his knuckles before entering his combat stance. This was going to be the fight of his life. Right here, right now. “All the better." He replied. Deep down he really didn’t want to fight Shadic, but at this point he had no other option. He was not about let all these saiyans die in vain.
Before he could go on however, Reku looked up to a particular voice that called him out. He saw Sanctimonious Asshat standing with Nexon, calling him his friend. So that’s where he was, looks like he changed sides. The traitorous bastard. Edgy’s mind control spell wasn’t full proof after all. He determined. As much as he wanted to tear Sanctimonious Asshat and Nexon to pieces for this team up, he knew that there was no way Shadic was going to let him just move on to another opponent.
“Like hell I will. Wait your turn." He said. Reku focused his attention back on his friend, his red ki aura flaring ferociously around him. The wind picked up from the sheer power of the presence of the two warriors that were about to face each other. “Sorry Shadic, but this is the way it has to be. If you won’t move, I’ll make you.” Suddenly, the King bursted from his battle position into a full blown direct assault, flying at full speed towards Earth’s hero. The suddenly increased in moment left a crater in the position he was standing just moments ago.
“I warned you time and time again! You wouldn’t listen! Now you’ll pay the price!” He shouted, launching a Dark Blast from his right hand. The beam soared through the air towards its intended target, aimed directly for Shadic’s torso. The blast might not do much, but due to many spars that Reku has had with Shadic, he knew that the latter was leaning more towards a glass cannon. The blast may do more to him than the average fighter. His strategy was to get him on the defensive as soon as possible. Meaning that he had to attack hard and fast.
After he had fired the blast, Reku would follow through with a strong punch towards Shadic’s jaw. The resulting force would send him flying back if it hit.
The remaining apes in the desert got torn apart by Skyleo, getting sliced, diced, and blasted to smithereens. The remaining saiyan master, who was trying to fight the namekians off, didn’t see the approaching Shadic duplicate. Before he knew it, he was left unconscious by Shadic’s attack. 0 3,000-6,000 PL Saiyan Apes are attacking Water, they all got wrecked by Skyleo.
185 (135 - 30 = 105 + 85 = 185) 3,000-6,000 PL Saiyan Apes Are heading towards South City. There numbers decreased but the reinforcements have arrived, amplifying their numbers once again.
0 Super Saiyan Masters left The last one got laid out by Shadic.
Techniques used:
Name: Dark Blast Description: (No Charge, 3 post cooldown) (FOC/2) The user shoots out a black energy wave from one hand at the opponent.
The dry wind of the desert ruffled Shadic's golden hair as he stood face to face with his once most trusted ally. This was finally it, no more Saiyan Apes or Demons to interfere, just two powerhouses ready to throw down. Shadic never wanted something like this to end up happening, though there were a ton of warning signs throughout. Reku mentioned how if Shadic didn't move, he'd make him move, to which the hybrid looked around slightly confused, "Where do you need me to move to? I was under the impression we were going to fight," The Saiyan King came in hot, which Shadic was expecting after their last fight, in which Reku did the same thing. He dove to his side to avoid the Dark Blast, an attack which he narrowly made it past, "If I didn't know any better I'd think you're the King of Clichés rather than the Saiyans. Some things never change I gue-"
Shadic's comments were cut off by Reku's powerful punch. The hybrid tried to avoid it, but he did not try hard enough. Reku's punch landed square in Shadic's chest instead of his jaw, which hurt tremendously. The hybrid flew back a bit before backflipping and landing in the sand from the attack, which left his chest throbbing in pain. It was as if somebody had dropped a bag of bricks on the hero's chest, though it wasn't the worst pain Shadic had ever felt, 'Sheesh, Reku really is serious about this. If I'm not careful, I feel like he might actually kill me, which would totally suck. Let's not let that happen,' He held his hand out and mentally called for his hammer, which he had left stranded in the middle of the desert during his reunification.
Meanwhile, some of the ki decoys were activated. One got close to the action, ready to spring in at a moment's notice. Another hid behind a rock not too far from the battle and began charging Sage Art XI: Transportation. The real Shadic took up a defensive stance, like Reku anticipated, though he was not going to need to maintain it for as long as the King wanted, "That the best you got?" Shadic taunted, hoping to draw in Reku again.
A third ki decoy flew over to the green haired fox-wolf-saiyan thing to warn them about the Saiyans who were attacking South City. There were Namekians there, sure, but they could always use some help.
Recap
Shadic officially began his battle with Reku.
Two decoys got closer to the battle, ready to unleash an attack. One is charging up Sage Art XI, which will cause it to swap places with the real Shadic, and the other is ready to jump out after the swap occurs.
Shadic called in his hammer, which will arrive to the scene next turn.
A third decoy flew over to Skyleo to warn them of the Saiyans approaching the city!
There are still 5 decoys on reserve, waiting for Shadic to call upon them so they can actually do something. They are hiding out in the sands of the desert playing rock paper scissors or something.
Techniques Used/Charging:
*Arts of the Sage XI: 輸送 (The Art of Transportation) - With his Ki Decoys active, Shadic is able to swap places with any single one of them at any moment. The decoy must be nearby Shadic, meaning this technique cannot be used to escape a battle. It is essentially an alternate blink, allowing him to literally trade places with any one of his decoys. After charging, the decoy slams its hands together, which is when the technique actually is performed. This swap does not stop any charging being done by Shadic himself, and the clone can still move whilst charging. This technique can be used offensively, for a surprise attack, or defensively, to avoid an attack. (Charging: 1/1)
*Summon: The Mighty Hammer - Shadic puts out his hand and calls out, "hammer," which causes the Mighty Hammer to fly to his hand. The hammer has no special attributes besides the fact that it can act as a lightning rod. It does not need any. It's a metal battle hammer. Getting hit with that is gonna hurt, depending on how strong the user is. The wielder can throw the hammer and have it return to them at will if they call it back the same way they summon it. When it comes to non-fighting attributes, only the person who summoned the hammer can use it in battle. If anybody else tries to pick it up they will have no luck. Since it is not a construct and is physically already made, the hammer cannot be destroyed. Takes one post to travel. It does not just appear, it physically flies to the summoner. (it's Thor's hammer from the comics, minus most of the bonuses. aka, it only does 1.5x STR in damage)
Skyleo rested their trusty Defiance on one shoulder, blood dripping in a thick red stream on to the dry, desert sands. They inhaled deeply, savoring the smell of freshly spilled blood then sighed contently. "Ah, what a great day it is to be alive, don't you just LOVE the smell of dead apes in the morning?" They said to no one in particular. They swung their ki sword one last time to remove the blood before making it disappear. They stood for a bit, not sure what to do. Yeah sure they could fly over to where the handful of other giant apes were, but then they wouldn't get to see the blood-pumping battle of Shadic versus Reku. The important question here, what was priority? Sure they could save a bunch of people's lives and South City, BUUUT, then they wouldn't get to see their friends tear each other limb from limb! "UGH! Stupid fucking civilians and their stupid fucking mortality. I should do the right thing shouldn't I? Shouldn't I? Finnnnneeee, fine. I'll save the goddamn city... I mean there's only like about two hundred left right? That should be a cake walk, and then I can portal back here to see the rest of the show!" They jumped with excitement just thinking about it. They opened a gate over to near South City and where the Namekians were fighting off giant monkeys.
"Alright dumbasses, you're making me miss a fucking awesome TV program over yander," Skyleo pointed over to where Shadic and Reku were fighting, "So would you be dears and just stand in a line for slaughter? Thaaaaanks." Skyleo would assume the large monkey men wouldn't take that insult sitting so they powered up, sending several volleies of regular ki blasts slamming into the beasts. There was carnage everywhere, especially with the Namekians fighting on their side. Skyleo was still a little ticked about the whole crashing into the city so they weren't too concerned with collateral damage. In anycase they decided that this was taking entirely too long... a certain transformation was long overdue, something they were extremely excited to unveil.
"Y'all should be greatful that you dipshits get to be killed by the full power of my AWESOMENSS!" Skyleo roared followed by a shout, electricity flairing around their aura and hair reverberating between gold and white until settling on a same mixture as before. The earth shook from their raw power-they had just transformed into their super sayain 2 form. The swung out Defiance again, this time in a huge arc before flashing through the crowd of apes, slicing and dicing.
After the carnage, Skyleo would laugh shaking off all the blood. "See? Awesome." They then tapped their chin, if there were more apes to be found they'd "take care of them", if not they decided that there was a certain person they wanted to pummel before they inevitably seperated. If they wanted to do it ever, now would be the time.
Saga Conclusion Post ------------------------------ ((Due to complications in the site's activity, this post shall wrap up any loose ties with the saga. Characters will be rewarded their gains and the effects of the saga will officially go into action.))
So, with everything to lose for the hero of Earth, and nothing to lose for the King of Vegeta, the two fought as hard as they could. Once allies, Shadic and Reku battled with no remorse. Though, perhaps not. Despite Reku's disposition towards the humans and the planet Earth, and despite Shadic's heroic heart, the two did not utilize all of their assets in defeating the other. As time passed, the two hybrids simply wore each other down until neither could press on. Reku's royal servants swooped in and recovered their weakened king, as the final remnants of the Vegeta Forces made their retreat back to their home planet.
During the fight, Skyleo crossed paths with the Kami of Earth, White. Fueled by Skylar's thirst for revenge, which was further mixed with Tadeo's angst and bloodlust, the fusion ended the life of the Guardian of Earth, shocking the world as they did. Shayne was able to escape and take his medicine because of Skyleo, so he has the fusion to thank for that. Skyleo felt no guilt, but it might possibly affect the minds of the two fusees later on down the road.
The Namekians retreated back to their planet as well, seeing as their general just up and left them alongside the beast once known as Godkiller. The Namekians removed the curse from their beloved guardian, Nexon, and the hero was freed of his demonic bonds. Though his actions would pay a heavy toll on his mind, since thousands, if not millions, were slaughtered by his hand.
Babylonians alike considered the invasion an overall success. The hybrid known as Sonnelion was defeated by their Queen, and their ultimate goal was completed. Though, their numbers dwindled tremendously from the demolitions of North and East city.
With the Saiyans and Babylonians gone, Earth managed to survive the invasion! Congratulations Earth and its defenders, you won, even if at the cost of a few million lives. May Adara, Quin, Barrigan, Sonnelion, and all the other casualties rest in peace for their efforts.
Sythius returned to his city only to find contract offers from dozens of organizations wanting to fix up the city. In fact, construction companies dove on the opportunity to repair the remnants of the fallen cities almost immediately, with construction efforts said to take less than three years to fully rebuild both cities. Earth needed a new Kami, and after the work he'd done to protect the planet, Shadic was the number one option.
Everything seemed to go back to the way they were, and then some.
TIMESKIP(and Timeskip details) The three years following the Saga were a peace-time era, for rebuilding and recuperation. High level threats were scarce, heroes laid low to recover from their injuries sustained in the battles, and things were looking up for Earth, especially after the planet was nearly lost to Babylonians and Saiyans. Because these three years were considered peacetime, no heroes made a huge gain in power. In summary, the timeskip is three years and there will be no power boosts.
Players are encouraged, but not required, to make timeskip update sheets for their characters, detailing how they changed over the three years.
Players can create threads that take place during the timeskip time (year 1, 2, or 3) or after the timeskip. Both are encouraged, but unless explicitly stated in the first post of the thread, all threads are assumed to take place after the timeskip finishes.
See the spoiler below for saga gains for each character involved. Thank you for participating in the first saga on World's Strongest and we hope to see you stick around for the next one, whenever that may be!
**If your tally is incorrect, please let me know. I did my best to make sure these are accurate but there is a slight chance they are not!**
**Also, keep in mind group bonuses and zenkai were added to the final gains. Zenkai was added to the original power gain before the saga x2 bonus and when calculating zenkai, any number less than or equal to 49 was rounded down while any number equal to or above 50 was rounded up (ex: 900 * 1.05 = 945 = 900)**
