in the hollowed mountains, there is one unique mountain in particular that holds an ancient asylum, the entrance can be seen on it's south side, this asylum, is where a thousand years ago, the undead were catered here, and put in cells, to await the end of days. sadly most of the undead here have hollowed, some so far gone they just...stand there, sit around, gazing out with all sanity and will to go on lost, but still unable to go on to the afterlife. within one cell, was an undead knight, a knight, who sat there, in order to keep himself from going hollow, Quin had slept here, his body may look like a shriveled up corpse, but his mind is still very much intact. a key is dropped into his cell, he had woken up an hour ago wondering what was causing the noise, when he key dropped he looked up and saw a man in wanderer cloths, he looked at the key and then back at the wanderer only to find him gone. the knight got up, picked up the key and unlocked the door. Quin wears full elite knight gear, a large blue shield with yellow markings on it, and a broadsword. he walked out and past the poor hollows that lost the will to even move. he had the helmet cover his face so no one could actually tell if he looked like a corpse or not yet.
he floated up and got to the courtyard of the asylum, he wondered where that wanderer was...he opened the big door, and walked forward, then he had a vision and detected a surprise attack and he rolled over to the side, just barely avoiding getting landed on by a giant asylum demon holding a hammer. he glanced and saw a gate opening, and ran towards it and rolled in, the gate closing right behind him. he sighed in relief. 'what hellish land hath I awoke to...' he thought to himself. he walked and found a hallway, and saw a hollow bowman, he held his shield up and blocked the arrow, clearly the hollow was not trained in the use of ki. he moved up and the hollow ran. 'rather fast for one without ki..' he thought to himself. the bowman tried to shoot him again, he blocked and ran up to the hollow and cut through it, killing the hollowed undead. he spotted the wanderer but found no way to get to him. he walked up the stairs and heard rolling, he side jumped and floated there, watching the ball smash through the wall leading to the wanderer. he went to the fellow sane undead.
"ah..your still sane. good to see thou made it. I am Jaller. would you listen?" the undead known as Jaller asked him. Quin looked at him and nodded. "regrettably, I hath failed in my mission, and am now dying, and will soon go hollow. but I'd like to help guide you, this ancient kingdom, people on the outside, hath forgotten its name, and call it the hollowed mountains. heheh, I suppose its fitting, but with that said, I hear word of powerful warriors that lie on the outside, warriors that may be able to help thee in thy mission. to help guide you, hear these words, 'to thou who art undead, ringeth the bell of awakening, and the fate of the undead, thou shalt know.' and there you go, and now I may rest in peace, but before you go, take this." he hands him a key, "well, you'd best be going now, soon I shall die and I wouldn't want to harm you after death." Jaller told him.
Quin left him, and killed the hollow that had rolled he black ball at him. he then walked and noticed he was now outside, he quickly killed the 2 hollows that were tried and failed to catch him by surprise with quick slashes at them before they could even attempt to strike. he killed the last archer and looked out into the distance. "tis shalt be a long adventure." he muttered to himself. he turned towards the fog door, and went in, and saw the asylum demon that waited below.
if he could narrow his eyes, he would have. either way he ran and jumped, and did a plunging attack on the demon, doing a ton of damage. (boss health: 50%). the demon was stunned by the attack, so he quickly flew behind it and slashed at it more using his stronger attacks, applying fire damage in as well before he had to roll more forward to avoid a horizontal swing from its hammer. (boss health: 20%), he had to roll several times to avoid more swings from it, the demon then flew up and tried to smash him with it's landing, but it was easy to dodge. he fired blasts at it doing more damage and finished with a stab to it's head. the demon turned to dust. 'huh...self cleaning, convenient.' he thought to himself as he picked up the key from the dust and took in the souls the demon had, it wasn't enough to look like a living human again, but it was a step in the right direction. he opened the door to the outside, and walked out and let a large bird grab him, reason why he let it was because he sensed no ill intent.
he landed at firelink shrine, and activated the bonfire, and proceeded to sit by it.
