Reku was sitting on an island that basically looked the same as every other one. Looking around at the bland landscape bummed him out, making him have a sort of bored feeling. He decided to take this time to rest before he would head back to Planet Vegeta. It was bad for a king to be gone from his kingdom for too long anyhow. Right now he was recovering from his injuries he had received during his spar with Sanctimonious Asshat. Cuts and bruises had developed in almost every section of his body. If he returned to the saiyans in such a state, they might lose faith in their king’s power. Reku refused to have that happen.
The universe was a lot smaller than it seemed. Even thousands, if not millions, of miles away from Earth, Shadic was bumping into people he knew. The business trip Tadeo was taking was just about over, but Shadic wanted one last fly around before the duo headed back home. During his fly around he saw dozens of villages, with Namekians looking up to the skies to see the alien zip by. He thought he even saw some red Namekians, but he figured he was just seeing things.
Ever since arriving on Namek, there was one power in particular that had been resting at the back of his consciousness. It had been weeks since he last felt this power, but it was probably a power he knew better than any other, aside from his own of course.
Shadic touched down not too far away from Reku, who seemed to be lost in thought as he gazed towards the Namekian horizon. The other hybrid was not in the best of conditions, with tatters throughout his clothes among a bunch of bruises, cuts, and scrapes.
The hybrid took a breath in before speaking from behind Reku, "It's funny how far from home we can go and still run into each other."
Sensing a massive power level all the way from Earth, Nexon was finally able to get a clear ki signature and with the beacon in mind, his body would suddenly vanish. In that moment, everything around the red head changed, his scenery occupied by the blue flora and green skies. It was beautiful in terms of how alien it seemed to him now but the color made Nexon feel at peace. "Woah, this is incredible. I guess Sonnelion wasn't lying after all, Namek really is a place." The red head would take a moment to himself as he felt a bit more of a pressure on himself. Despite his strength, he could feel the slight difference but was not hindered by it.
His eyes would scan along the horizon where he saw dome like houses and what's more, green people farming and walking about. Blinking curiously, Nexon would levitate into the air, his purple gi and ash grey pants covered in scuff and burn marks from his spar with Sonnelion, though he seemed unbothered. The hybrid would turn his head to where he felt the ki signature, it was familiar but something about it made him feel cautious, he had to see who it belonged to for himself. His white aura would spark up around his form and without a moment of hesitation, Nexon took off, leaving a tail of white ki behind him.
Reku sat there, letting the calm breeze run through his hair. A voice was heard behind him, catching Reku off guard. He stumbled forwards a little before regaining balance and turning around. He relaxed, seeing it was his good ol’ friend Shadic. “Geez, would it kill you to say hello like a normal person?" He asked, slightly annoyed. Though he couldn’t help but be glad to see his friend again. He hadn’t seen him in a while, and a lot has happened since their last encounter. ”What are you even doing here? I thought your hang out was on Earth?" He asked.
As he wanted for Shadic’s response, he couldn’t help but sense a considerably high energy level approaching fast. It seemed familiar, but he couldn’t quite put his finger on it. He wondered if he should be concerned, but due to his large increase in power over the past few weeks, he wasn’t as intimidated anymore. Eh, if they’re trying to kill me, I’ll handle it. Probably. Reku thought.
Reku was a little annoyed at Shadic's greeting, so it seemed, so the hybrid put his hands up defensively, "Oh, my bad, lemme redo that."
He floated up into the air slightly before landing in the same place, "Hey Reku, funny seeing you here." His fellow hybrid asked the reasoning behind his presence on the planet, to which Shadic answered, "Oh, Tadeo had some special delivery to make for Capsule Corp for some reason. He invited me instead of his girlfriend (surprisingly) and now I got some free time before we head back. We met this one Namekian who seemed kinda strong, he was surprised to find out there are actually aliens in the universe, so that was fun," That made Shadic wonder, why was Reku here? He knew Earth wasn't his friend's favorite place, but to take refuge on Namek seemed a bit odd. Also, what was up with his current condition?
"Why are you here? And what Namekian animal did you piss off to get all cut up like that? Do they even have animals here?" Shadic asked, quite confused at the situation. Another strong, yet familiar, power level suddenly popped up on the planet, one that was more prevalent than Reku's was. There were only two other beings he knew who were that much stronger than Reku, and he hadn't seen one of them in years.
'Nexon?' Shadic thought, wondering if the guru (or whatever he is) of Namek had finally remembered how to return home.
Soaring through the emerald skies of Namek, Nexon's eyes scanned along the land, there were several Namekians milling about, some of which waved up at him. Waving back simply by reaction, the red head would continue on, focusing on where he was going. Glancing upward, he would see two figures standing by one another, that's when the purple clad warrior realized he knew the both of them. Allowing his aura to dissipate, the Saiyan hybrid would drop from the skies, falling downward to the plains, creating somewhat of a seismic shock as he landed. The ground would crack under his feet as he stood up, looking to Reku and moving into a combative stance.
"You're here too huh!? This time I'll make sure I pay you back for what you did!" Nexon's expression was fierce as he raised his left hand up into a grasping position, his right fist tucked beside his ribs. Glancing to the side, Nexon would also catch Shadic who seemed to have been battling with Reku, he was looking pretty beat up after all, though Shadic was untouched. "Shadic? What're you doing here? Are you beating this guy up too?"
Reku initially rolled his eyes as Shadic performed his entrance once again, but then chuckled slightly when he found the humor in the joke. “I… have no idea. I haven’t seen much on this planet. Everything looks the god damn same and it really prevents you from mustering up the willpower to go out and explore. Anyway, I originally came to find the guru to arrange an alliance. I ran into this warrior namekian, who was actually quite skilled. We sparred for a quite a while and I was able to improve my effectiveness is hand to hand combat. I was going to recover before I returned to Planet Vegeta." Reku said, replying to his friend’s question but forgetting that he never told his friend that he became the King of all Saiyans.
Suddenly, the energy Reku had sensed earlier arrived. The figure landed on the ground that he could literally feel the vibrations the emitted from this warrior’s feet. When the saiyan hybrid saw that it was Nexon, standing there challenging him, a look of dread washed over his face. Oh you gotta fucking kidding me. He thought. ”You again? What the hell are you doing here!" Reku with a tone of complete shock which was only increased by Nexon calling talking to Shadic, almost as if he knew him personally. He frantically looked back and forth to his friend and his enemy, trying to make sense of it all.
Reku was talking about his adventures on Namek, about how he wanted an alliance and learned some new fighting styles or something. Questions buzzes around the hybrid's head, 'Alliances? Back to Vegeta? Sonnelion did mention something about Reku trying to become the Saiyan King. Did he actually go out and do it?'
Shadic opened his mouth to speak, "Alli-?" when a red-haired Saiyan came flying out of the sky and landed with force. The ground beneath the newcomer seemed to crack from the impact, but Shadic wasn't too focused on that. The person who landed was none other than Namek's very own Nexon, the crimson haired Saiyan himself. He did not look happy to see Reku, most likely because of the whole Skylar assassination incident.
Nexon seemed to believe Shadic was the cause of Reku's battle damage, but he just shook his head and laughed, "Nah, that wasn't me. I found him like that when I was flying around," The powers of Reku and Nexon were so high that Shadic was a little worried about their potential fight. Nexon was strong, and Reku never gives up, so it could be quite destructive to the Namekian landscape if they were not careful.
"I don't think this is the best time or place to fight, Nexon. The Namekians prefer peace and stuff, you might give them a scare!"
As Nexon stood there, ready to leap into battle at a moment's notice, Shadic chimed in with a bit of advice. Worried that their battle might cause the people of Namek to panic, the always level headed Shadic protested that perhaps now was not the time or place. Gritting his teeth, Nexon would clench his right fists, his knuckles going pale as he glared at Reku. "If this really is my home, then I don't want this guy around. He killed that girl and now he's walking around free." The tone he spoke with was so venom filled and malice ridden that it almost seemed as if Nexon was not himself. Still, he despised Reku for what he thought had happened to Skylar and he was more than willing to battle it out.
"If you haven't noticed already, this is where I was raised." Nexon would reply, answering Reku's question as to what he was going there. "What are you doing here? If you're up to no good again, I swear..." He would hold back on letting anything else slip from his lips, as of now, Nexon was on high alert and the crimson haired Saiyan was in battle mode. Although he was damaged, Shadic explained that he hadn't fought Reku, which meant that perhaps one of the warriors had damaged him. "If you didn't kick his butt who did it?" The purple clad Saiyan hybrid would ask as he looked to Shadic.
Reku sighed out of frustration due to what Nexon was saying. Obviously, there had been some sort of misunderstanding. “I’m not up to anything bad, my goodness. Skylar’s not even dead, genius. I failed that mission. She’s ALIVE. A. L. I. V. E." He replied, spelling it out for him to make sure he got the message. Unlike Shadic, Reku wasn’t going let the possibility of innocent lives being caught in the crossfire due to a battle. That being said, he still didn’t want to fight him at this very moment, due to already being injured. ””Kick his butt?" I’ll have you know that it was pretty evenly matched. I didn’t even go Super Saiyan." He said suddenly, offended by Nexon’s suggestion that the King of all Saiyans had gotten demolished in a fight. ”Kicked his butt", pfft. t’s not like I got slaughtered or anything…. Right? Reku took a bit of a pause and went over the spar his mind. NAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH.
