Shadic
((Adding all purchased techniques, updating the history with recent site events that affected the character, updating PL to match what is currently listed on the sidebar, and editing the personality/alignment to actually match how I play the character. Any discrepancies aside from those are unintentional and should be pointed out))
Character's name: Shadic
Nickname(s): N/A
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Appearance/Picture: Shadic stands at a tall 6'4" with black spiky hair and black eyes. He is quite lean, but that does not make him any weaker than anybody else of his power. He often wears a blue gi with an orange undershirt, but his apparel may change depending on the situation.
Race: Human/Saiyan
Alignment: Lawful Good
Power Level: 104,100
_________________________________________________________________
Stats:
AGI: 30
END: 15
STR: 30
FOC: 25
_________________________________________________________________
Traits:
*Invisible Ki - Shadic's ki cannot be sensed at any time (variation of Trait 26. Indetectable)
*Electric Ki - Throughout his training, Shadic has become somewhat of a master of electricity. His electric attacks do 2x more damage to the elements water and air. He has an affinity to electricity, but the elements of fire and earth do twice as much damage to Shadic as they would to a normal person.
*Zenkai - Being half Saiyan, Shadic acquired the Zenkai boost trait rather than the famous Oozaru. With Zenkai, he gains 5% more PL per thread.
Techniques:
*Kamehameha Wave - The user fires a powerful blue beam of ki from his palms after charging the blast at his hip. Requires at least one post of charging, additional charging will add strength to the attack. The signature move of the Turtle School.
*Triple Ki Blast - The user can shoot three Ki Blasts from their hand at once.
Techniques (not custom)
*Blink - A short ranged teleport that can be used in battle. Not to be overused.
*Unlocked Potential- A buff that doubles one stat for one turn. Can be used once per roleplay
*Explosive Demon Wave-A very powerful energy wave shot from a single hand, with the other arm supporting the one that is firing the attack.
*Hellzone Grenade-The user charges up and fires several energy spheres randomly in the opponent's direction, disregarding accuracy and with no intent on actually hitting the enemy. With efficient ki control, the multiple energy spheres are suspended in the air, completely surrounding them. Finally, the user commands the energy spheres, to rapidly spin around the opponent and inevitably rain down on them with a vicious onslaught from every direction, filling the sky with a blinding light and inflicting a massive amount of damage. Requires ONE posts of charging
*Black Dragon Hellzone Attack-The user shoots a Hellzone grenade but the blasts surround them.. The user then does Explosive Demon Wave. After the beam wave hits the ki blasts explode into the enemy Requires ONE post of charge and the successful dice
*Turtle Strike: The signature rush of the Turtle School, the user dashes at the opponent, striking them in the stomach and following with an uppercut to the chin. The user dashes up ahead of the opponent and fires a Kamehameha Wave, blasting the opponent into the ground.
*Super Kamehameha: The user fires a more powerful blue beam of ki from his palms after charging the blast at his hip. Requires three charging post, additional posts of charging increase the power of the wave. The Super Kamehameha is equal to the power of three Kamehameha Waves. The signature move of the Turtle School taken to a higher level.
Custom Techniques
*Thunder - The sky becomes overcast as the user focuses hard. They will feel a tug in their gut as they charge energy and prepare to call forth the power of the sky. Then, the user releases the energy in the form of a huge lightning bolt. This bolt of lightning will strike the Earth and (if it hits) will do much damage to anybody that is in the strike zone. It's a bolt of lightning, after all. However, the move will leave the user fatigued for a bit afterwards. Two posts of charging with additional posts doing more damage. Equal power to the Super Kamehameha. The only problem is, the more the user charges, the more they are fatigued afterwards. If somebody tries to charge for more than 4 posts, they will not only do a lot of damage with the bolt, but they will also pass out from exhaustion. It they somehow try to charge for 6, they will die from the power of the blast.
*Electricity Resist - With Shadic's affinity to electricity in mind, anything electricity related does 50% less damage.
*Thunderbolt - The weaker version of Shadic's technique 'Thunder'. As strong as a Kamehameha Wave, but has a shorter charge time. However, it does leave the user a little bit fatigued afterwards. 1 post with additional posts equating to additional damage and fatigue. User is always fatigued, but more charging creates more fatigue.
*Summon: The Mighty Hammer - Shadic puts out his hand and calls out, "hammer," which causes the Mighty Hammer to fly to his hand. The hammer has no special attributes besides the fact that it can act as a lightning rod. It does not need any. It's a metal battle hammer. Getting hit with that is gonna hurt, depending on how strong the user is. The wielder can throw the hammer and have it return to them at will if they call it back the same way they summon it. When it comes to non-fighting attributes, only the person who summoned the hammer can use it in battle. If anybody else tries to pick it up they will have no luck. Since it is not a construct and is physically already made, the hammer cannot be destroyed. Takes one post to travel. It does not just appear, it physically flies to the summoner. (it's Thor's hammer from the comics, minus most of the bonuses)
Transformations
*Super Saiyan - Just your basic Super Saiyan. Literally nothing special about this. Just like all first transformations, it boosts Shadic's power x2.
*Shocking Super Saiyan - This is basically SSJ2 with darker yellow hair, golden eyes, golden lightning and aura. For Shadic to transform into SSSJ, he must be outdoors so a bolt of lightning can strike him. Like all second transformations, gives Shadic a 4x power boost.
*Super Saiyan Yin-Yang - Shadic's Tier 3 Transformation has 5 different appearances, all depending on which element he is utilizing. His aura, eyes, and hair color change with the element, so he can look different each time somebody sees him enter his third tier. Like all first transformations, this boosts his power x6
New Techniques
*Name:
Technique
Detailed Description: The user
With each transformation, the user can produce more and more decoys at once.
*Base Form - 1 decoy
*First Tier - 2 decoy
*Second Tier - 4 decoys
*Third Tier - 8 decoys
*if more tiers are added, the number continues exponentially (5 = 16, 6 = 32, etc)
Charge: 0 posts, decoy can be made instantly
Cooldown: 5 (user) posts, to prevent decoy spam.
*Name: Arts of the Sage
TECHNIQUE
Detailed Description: Through his years of training and work, Shadic has slowly been focusing on mastering his ki output and intake. After years of work, Shadic has finally managed to create a technique that utilizes his ki to its full potential. Due to its potentcy, Shadic had to split up the functions of the move into what he calls "The Arts of the Sage."
Art I: 動物の芸術 (The Art of Fauna)
*Shadic takes in as much natural energy from the wildlife around him and infuses it into his ki. After his charging is completed, Shadic gains a boost to his agility as well as his senses. This buff lasts for 5 turns before wearing off.
*AGI boosted by 1.5x (stat becomes 45 rather than 30).
*FOV increases to 180°, allowing Shadic to almost see everything in front of him.
*Hearing is improved to the point where Shadic can hear footsteps from a mile away.
*Smelling is improved so Shadic can also smell people from a mile away.
Art II: 植物の芸術 (The Art of Flora)
*Shadic takes in as much natural energy as he can from the surrounding plantlife and combines it with his ki. Once charging is complete, Shadic's energy output is strengthened for the following 7 turns. His physical prowess weakens for those 7 turns.
*FOC stat doubles (25 becomes 50)
*STR stat halved (30 becomes 15)
Art III: 地球の芸術 (The Art of Terra)
*Shadic gathers energy from the planet itself. After fusing it with his ki, the hybrid becomes much more physically imposing for the next 7 turns. The energy output decreases to compensate for the increased physical abilities.
*STR stat doubles (30 becomes 60)
*FOC stat halved (25 becomes 12.5; rounds down to 12 ((technically rounds up to 13, but 'tis a weakness so...)))
Art IV: 不完全な賢者 (The Imperfect Sage)
*Taking in as much energy as he can from his surroundings, Shadic attempts to achieve perfect zen with nature. The goal is for his ki to become one with nature, but unfortunately, he has not yet mastered this Art. Even still, his charging is not in vain. Shadic improves in every area for the following 5 turns.
*ALL stats are boosted by 10% [STAT*0.1 + STAT = INCREASED STAT]
-STR (30 goes to 33)
-FOC (25 goes to 28)
-AGI (30 goes to 33)
-END (15 goes to 17)
Charge: 5 posts of perfect stillness. The user cannot move at all during the charging process as they must take in just the right amount of energy. Charging for too long (6 posts) will kill them. If charging is disrupted, the cooldown is not activated.
Requirements:
Arts I - IV: Second Tier Transformation (must be transformed); cannot have another art active (only one at a time)
Art I: Cannot be in a wasteland setting or another planet besides Earth.
Art II: Cannot be in a city setting or another planet besides Earth or Namek.
Art III: Must be on Earth.
Art IV: Must be within the atmosphere of a planet (does not work in space).
Cooldown:
Arts I - III: 25 (user) posts. Maximum of two uses per thread. (All 3 arts, not just each one. Excludes art iv.)
Art IV: Can only be used once per thread.
*Name: Art V: 要素の芸術 (The Art of Elements)
Technique
Detailed Description: As Shadic learns to fuse his ki with natural energy surrounding him, he has learned how to alter his natural affinity for any period of time. With a little bit of concentration and effort, Shadic can shift his natural affinity for the remainder of a thread. The only issue is that once he has changed his affinity, he cannot manually change it back. It only reverts back to normal (electric) after some time (the end of the thread).
*Shadic can alter his elemental affinity, adjusting his 2x strengths and 2x weaknesses in the process.
*The elements he can choose from include: Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, and Electricity (but he starts off with electricity so that would be pointless).
Charge: 2 posts of uninterrupted, dedicated focus
Requirements:
*Elementalist trait
*Tier 3 Transformation
Extra: When transformed in his Super Saiyan Yin-Yang mode, Shadic's hair and eye color change to match his element ((and also his font color)). The colors go as follows: Electricity (#a3a305)*, Fire (#e4f0b), Water (#1119ff), Wind (#3d3d3d), and Earth (#00bb21).
*his hair and eyes in the electricity element are more of a pure yellow, but so you can see his font it needs to be this nasty honey mustard color
Cooldown: One use per thread. Whatever element Shadic switches to is the element he stays for the rest of the thread.
*Name: Teleport Seal
TECHNIQUE
Description: Shadic places a ki seal wherever he chooses and can later teleport to the seal. The seal is the Japanese Kanji for motion "動" and it appears in a dimly glowing white color on the location he chose to place it. Cannot be used in battle.
Charge: One post to place the seal, one post of concentration to teleport.
Cooldown: Only one seal can be active at a time; only one teleport can be used per thread.
Extra: Seals can carry over between threads. This is essentially a preemptive instant transmission, but the location of the seal must be known at the start of the thread. For example, an intro post may look like this:
((this is what my intro to my intro posts look like))
[Location]
[Time]
[Day]
[PL]
Teleport Seal Location: [n/a, Shadic's home, etc]
Carrying between threads is no different than instant transmission users locking onto a ki signature of their choosing when they plan on using the technique. Plus, teleportation cannot take place during battle, so that is nothing to worry about.
*Name: Solar Ball
Technique
Description: Shadic holds his hands above his head, Spirit Bomb style, and begins charging energy. A ball of ki, about the size of a normal ki blast, forms above the hands of the hybrid and begins absorbing solar energy at the same time. After charging is complete, Shadic can then throw the attack at his foes. If it makes contact, it will cause a burning sensation upon the opponent's skin.
Charge: 3 posts, more posts result in more damage
Damage: About the same as a Super Kamehameha, meaning FOC x 2. More charge adds .4x to the damage.
Cooldown: 1 post
Extra: Deals 1.5x more damage if Shadic's element is changed to Fire, using Sage Art V. This means, whilst in Fire Element, the attack deals x3.5 damage as opposed to the regular x2.
*Name: Overheat
Description: Shadic takes in air, holding his breath as he charges up a mighty fire attack. The energy within builds, resulting in mass heating up of Shadic's overall body temperature. After charging, he breathes out and fires a beam of energy at his opponent from. Afterwards, Shadic is left fatigued and somewhat dehydrated.
Charge: 3 posts, more posts result in more damage. Maximum of 6 posts
Damage: FOC x 4. Each extra post adds .2x to the damage.
Cooldown: 10 posts
Extra: Leaves the user fatigued and unable to do any excessive movements (running, flying) for two turns. Shadic must use his Sage Art V to alter his element to Fire before he can use this attack.
*Name - Summon: Bastion
Technique
Description: Shadic charges energy in either of his hands before slamming it on the ground. A large wall (let's say 10 feet tall, 10 feet wide) of stone will emerge from the ground, protecting Shadic and anybody behind him from any oncoming attacks. Lasts for two posts before sinking back into the ground.
Charge: 1 post, longer charge will result in a stronger wall.
Damage Resistance: 2.5x Shadic's ENDurance stat, add .5x more resistance for each extra post of charging. Charging limit of 4 posts
Cooldown: 5 posts
Extra: It is simply a wall of stone, so somebody could fly over/around it and get to Shadic. The wall's endurance increases 2x if Shadic's element is changed to Earth, using Sage Art V; meaning it is naturally able to defend 5x rather than 3x. Must be standing on the ground to use this technique.
*Name - Summon: Dome
Technique
Description: Shadic charges energy in both of his hands before slamming them on the ground. A stone dome then surrounds him, completely engulfing the hybrid beneath the Earth, essentially protecting him from any attacks. Lasts for one post before crumbling back into the Earth.
Charge: 1 post, longer charge will result in result in a larger radius for the dome, allowing it to protect a larger area.
Damage Resistance: 3x Shadic's ENDurance stat
Cooldown: 5 posts
Extra: Duration increases by one post if Shadic's element is changed to Earth, using Sage Art V. Cannot be used alongside Summon: Bastion. Must be standing on the ground to use this technique.
*Name: Panic Button
Technique
Description: In a bind, Shadic can summon a block of stone to shield him from an oncoming attack.
Charge: none
Damage Resistance: 5x Shadic's END stat
Cooldown: once per thread
Extra: Shadic must use Sage Art V to change his element to Earth before he can use this attack. Must be standing on the ground to use this technique.
*Name: Splash Zone
Technqiue
Description: Shadic absorbs as much water energy from the air around him before bursting it outwards in an explosive wave type attack. It does not harm Shadic in any way.
Charge: 1 post
Damage: FOC x 1
Cooldown: 5 posts
Extra: Shadic must be utilizing his Sage Art V to become a Water Elementalist.
*Name: Aeolus' Fury
Technique
Description: Shadic forms a simple ball of ki in his hands and begins absorbing wind energy from the air around him into the ki. Due to the nature of wind itself, and its unpredictability, Shadic has not figured out how to fire the attack at range. Therefore, he must use it as a melee attack.
Charge: 1 posts, extra gives more damage.
Damage: FOC x 1, extra charge increases by 0.5x with a max of 6 extra charges. Typically results in knockback assuming the defender's END stat is lower than the power of the attack itself.
Cooldown: none
Extra: Cannot be used at range, as it would simply blow away if Shadic released the attack. If Shadic is in Wind Elementalist form (via Sage Art V) he can throw this attack, nullifying its biggest weakness.
*Name: Aeolus' Wrath
Technique
Description: Shadic holds his hand up, as if charging destructo disc, and forms a simple ball of ki in his hand. From there, he begins absorbing wind energy to increase the power of the attack. As he takes in energy, the ball slowly grows more and more uncontrollable, to the point where it is a condensed ball of wind and ki. Shadic can then throw the attack at his opponent, where it will travel until making contact with something, upon which it will explode outward in a 5 meter radius.
Charge: 2 posts, extra gives more damage.
Damage: FOC x 2, extra charge increases by 0.5x with a max of 6 extra charges.
Cooldown: none
Extra: Shadic must be in Wind Elementalist form (via Sage Art V) to use this attack.
*Name: Zap
Technique
Description: Shadic channels his energy through his fingertips, sending lightning from his hands at his opponent. Anybody struck by the technique will experience slight muscle paralysis, slowing them down for a short duration.
Charge: 1 post
Damage: None, just paralyzes the opponent for 2 turns
Cooldown: 10 posts
Extra: None
*Name: Pop Shocks
Technique
Description: Shadic harnesses his energy into the air around him, forming a small (golf ball sized) clump of electricity from the air and ki energy. As he charges, the clump increases in density until it is a killing machine of much terror. Although, with so much power and mass in one place, it can be hard to control.
Charge: 4 posts, cannot be interrupted or it will not work
Damage: FOC x 8
Cooldown: 5 posts
Extra: Due to the sheer power of this attack, it is only useful at point-blank range. At any other range, at all, this attack will miss 100% of the time. Shadic can only use this attack when his element is electricity, which is his natural element.
Weaknesses:
*Headstrong - Shadic is headstrong, meaning he will often take on tasks that are seemingly impossible.
*Sacrificial - He will do anything to protect his friends and even innocent bystanders, including putting his life on the line.
*Earth/Fire - Seeing that he has an affinity to electricity, Shadic is twice as weak to earth and fire attacks (stated earlier in the traits section, restated here so people see it, and also because it is technically a weakness).
*Morals - Shadic will not kill anybody on purpose unless it is absolutely necessary.
Personality: Shadic is a fun-loving individual who knows the responsibilities that come with having great power (hint: the responsibilities are great). He uses his power to protect his home planet, Earth, without complaining or desire for compensation. He likes to crack jokes, have fun, and just enjoy his opportunity he has been given. Shadic is always talking, but when his planet, its people, or his life is threatened, he becomes focused on winning the battle for the good guys. His morals play a big part in his heroics. Sometimes he will act against his friends and allies if their goals somehow harm others. He is one of the most pure hearted people in the galaxy, through thick and thin.
Optimistic and driven are two other words that can describe the hybrid to a key. Shadic always tries to find the positive in the situation and focus solely on it. In the darkest of times, he will find a way to keep his allies' and his spirits high. Never giving up is one thing that has helped Shadic achieve the power he has today, and it will probably be what ends up saving his life down the line.
Just because Shadic is a nice guy doesn't mean he always comes off that way. Sarcastic is another great descriptor of the hybrid because it is a good way for him to cope with the stress of being a hero. He hopes the people he offends with his sarcasm don't take it personally, but he can't help it if they do.
History: Shadic was born half-Saiyan (mother) and half-human (father). He never met his Saiyan mother, as she left Shadic and his father when he was still a baby. Shadic was not born with a tail, so he could easily have passed as a human. His father, however, was a big enthusiast of the Z-fighters, telling Shadic stories of them ever since he was able to talk. His father decided to keep his Saiyan blood a secret, for he did not want Shadic to become a fighter at a young age. The young hybrid always wondered what it would be like to explore the universe and be such a great fighter, but he knew it was unlikely that would ever happen.
When Shadic was 7 years old, a Namekian murdered his father, thinking the man had a Dragonball. An old man by the name of Seppu actually witnessed this, and promised to train Shadic. Even at 7 years, Shadic showed great potential. Seppu did his best to teach the child everything he knew, ranging from various techniques and how to live as a hero. 8 years of training later, and Seppu knew he had done all he could. There was nothing more he could teach the aspiring fighter, aside from a few pieces of advice. At the ripe age of 15, Shadic was ready to go. After finishing his training with Seppu, Shadic moved into a small apartment in South City. Since then, Shadic has been on many adventures. He's visited a few different foreign planets, fought foes two, three, even four times his own power, and made plenty of friends and allies along the way.
As he grew older and had more experiences, Shadic started to realize the fighter's life was no joke. He could die at any moment, especially because the stronger he grew, the more enemies he attracted. Once Shadic fully understood what that meant, he changed his whole demeanor. He was still the happy-go-lucky "oh I'll kick your butt and have a laugh" guy of the past, but now he knew what it came with. He wanted to make sure to warn the young, new ki fighters of the dangers of the job and to make sure they were on the right path if they continued.

SITE HISTORY (from threads on this site)
Good ole' Shadic has been through a lot since then. He and his best friend Reku had a heartfelt spar, each one proving their growth not only as fighters, but as people since they first met each other. The hybrid started to notice his friend's shift in demeanor and motivations at that time, but he tried not to think too much of it. The two then teamed up to defeat some strange, roided up Saiyan, proving their bond was just as strong as ever.
Weeks later, Shadic received a protection contract from, the now councilman of South City, Sythius. After the death of Edgy Bitch on live television, Sythius was worried his opponent, Skylar, might try the same thing on him. Shadic's job was to protect the lizard man and only the lizard man and, in return, he would receive payment. He obviously accepted, not wanting to see another death of a political nominee. At the meet and greet, Reku tried to assassinate Skylar, much to Shadic's surprise. With the help of Nexon and Sonnelion, the assassin was stopped. Despite his actions, and the fact that he was a wanted criminal, Shadic and Reku maintained their friendship, though the bond was weakened. The hybrid was shocked to see his friend's sudden turn to the dark side, especially after everything they'd been through.
A few days after the meet and greet catastrophe, Sythius was named the new councilman of South City. During his speech, Shadic noticed Shayne and a disguised Terium having a chat in an alleyway. Terium attacked Shayne, so Shadic tried to break it up. From there, the vile bio-android attacked South City, committing the worst terrorist attack on South City in years. After a quick scuffle, Shadic, Sonnelion, and Sythius managed to chase the bio-android away, but not before he ripped Shayne's arm off to prove a point (tl:dr - 'don't be evil because evildoers will kill you, gooddoers will just rip your arm off'). Disappointed in his efforts, Shadic promised to help rebuild the city.
Around this time, Shadic finally managed to eclipse the power of his father's killer. For the first time, the hybrid bested the Namekian in battle, but when he went to leave, the Namekian put all his energy into an explosive wave, trying to kill both himself and Shadic at the same time. Expecting such trickery, Shadic had sent in a decoy to have the final word with the villain, meaning he got out of the explosion unscathed. In that battle, Shadic unlocked his third tier transformation and became stronger than ever before.
While he was helping rebuild South City, Sythius contacted him about joining the government. He would be given all the benefits of a government employee while also getting paid to do what he was already doing: protecting the citizens of Earth. Naturally, he accepted, excited to finally have a 'real job.' Of course, he had to do some shady dealings behind his new employer's back when he found out his friend Reku was on death row. Knowing he couldn't allow his friend to die in such a way, Shadic created an escape plan that would protect his name since he wasn't technically involved at all while also saving his friend from dying.
Shortly thereafter, Shadic was approached by a boy who wanted to become a ki warrior himself. Due to the boy's persistence, the hybrid gave in, training him under the condition that he makes an alter ego. After a couple weeks of training, Shadic trained up the boy to become the totally awesome Quantum. Now Shadic knows he is responsible for the boy and if anything happens to him, it will forever be on his conscious.
And the story continues.........
