Shadic was surprised to see his attack worked, but then again, trying to catch his hammer was not a wise move to begin with. Despite the hit, Reku was not backing down. Well, not exactly. For what seemed like the first time, Reku did not rush in for melee combat. He stayed back and fired some ki blasts at Shadic. Shadic moved out of the way of the first few and blocked the rest with his hammer.
If ranged was the way they were going to play, Shadic had a plan in mind. He had practiced this move a few times during some solo training sessions, where he would arc his hammer over hills and mountains to hit a target on the opposite side. This was basically the same thing, except without a mountain and with a possibly mobile target. Shadic looked up at the sky, calculating the necessary angle he would need to hit his target. After a second he threw his hammer into the sky, almost directly up into the air. The metal weapon flew for a moment before disappearing behind a cloud. It will take 2 turns (this and next; third turn is when it strikes) to reach Reku.
For this to work, Shadic needed to distract Reku and keep him from moving. So, he shouted out to his foe, "Now it's time for my ultimate attack!" Shadic was not sure where he learned what he did next. He swore that he saw it on some tv show about ninjas or something. Grabbing his limp hand, Shadic started making some sort of hand signs before shouting, "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!"
Obviously, Shadic does not know any cloning techniques. Instead of making clones, he actually began charging his thunderbolt attack, in which he literally forces a bolt of lightning to strike his opponent. Storm clouds started forming above the battlers. If the hammer had still been visible, it was not any more. Of course, Shadic was ready to cancel this attack if Reku tried anything funny.
