Welcome to Arlia
While driving through the asteroid field of Arlia, you notice a light military vessel in the area. You sense many power levels. Many of them are much stronger a normal human but are nowhere near as powerful as yourself. Before you can investigate, the crew of this mysterious spaceship invades one of the settlements! Even more curious, is the fact that the crew includes many different races. Do you want to investigate these strange pirates?

Reku was in his saiyan pod, travelling through the asteroid field of Arlia. There were three other saiyan pods at his side, which were his escorts. It would seem that becoming King of Vegeta offered you to have certain privileges that he didn’t have before. As he was on his way, one of his escorts contacted him through a pod. “My lord, we have detected contact up ahead. An unknown ship has been detected in the asteroid field.”
“Do you know where they are headed?” Reku asked, curious about what there would be to salvage here. There was a moment of silence before the soldier replied, as if he was preparing an answer. “It seems that there’s some kind of settlement nearby, I think they might just be getting supplies.” He replied. Reku thought to himself for moment, sensing their energies. They weren’t very strong, but they definitely weren’t average travellers.
Could they be pirates of some sort? A military vessel? Maybe it would be wise to take a look. Reku thought before realizing that he had to give some kind of order. “Alright. Let’s check it out just in case. If there are supplies down there, then some of it may be of some use to us anyhow. Understood?” Reku ordered, though he couldn’t help but feel a little strange. He couldn’t even get passed that he could give orders and people would actually follow through.
“Understood my lord.” The three soldiers replied almost simultaneously as the four pods headed down to the invaded settlement. As the ships landed, the vessel that they had detected was already opened. Many aliens of different species were gathering supplies and putting them back on the ship. The four saiyans exited their pods and looked around. Realizing that they were pirates, he decided to hang back and examine the items from afar. The pirates left with simple riches, nothing impressive. However, they left the settlement in shambles.
He couldn’t help but wonder who else was travelling in the asteroid field.
The Merchants of Arlia
Three extravagant space ships approach, piloted by wealthy people in regal. They introduce themselves as Merchants. They are the rulers of the three man-made planetoids. The merchants inform you that they have a piracy problem. They implore a fighter as strong as yourself to aid them. They promise you vast riches in exchange! Will you fight to protect these seemingly defenseless people, or be forced to defend yourself when the group is ambushed?

It seems that the question Reku asked himself was answered sooner than he thought. Three ships came towards the settlement which had been attacked by the pirates. A few people exited their ship and the saiyan quickly realized these were not of the same type of travellers. That had expensive looking apparel on and even the way they stood said that they were of a Higher Social Status. One of them approached the saiyans waving at them.
Two saiyans got in front of Reku to defend him, getting in a battle stance. However, Reku put his hands on their shoulders. “Relax. The way they have presented themselves suggests that they aren’t fighters. Their energy levels are low anyhow. They aren’t a real threat.” He muttered. The soldiers relaxed exiting their fighting stances, but they still didn’t completely let their guard down.
The one who was waving to them spoke in a rather positive tone. “Hello travellers! We are Merchants. We rule a trio of planetoids here in the Arlia asteroid field. However, we have attracted unwanted attention, as you can see.” He said, motioning to the destroyed settlement that surrounded them. “Our military forces haven’t been able to shake them. They’ve been here for months.” He continued. “You four are saiyans yes? Members of a powerful warrior race. Perhaps you could assist us?”
Reku was quick to deny them their assistance, being reminded of how humans constantly relied on stronger opponents to protect them. “No. If you want to protect what’s important to you, do it yourself. Don’t rely on the real warriors to aid you whenever you need help.” He said with authority. It seemed like the problem of dependence was not just on Earth, which had begun to frustrate him.
“Wait, wait! But we have riches. If you help us-” The merchant was interrupted by one of the soldiers. “You heard the King. Shut it.” He replied, walking off. However, an explosion occurred behind them. Multiple warriors were charging the group in all directions. Reku shouted, “Ambush!”
Second Wave!
It seems like your enemies are reinforcing quickly, and are only getting stronger! What's worse is that they are now firing upon one of the man-made planets! This battle is a close one, and it is becoming clear that you cannot win without sacrifice. One of the Merchants is making a reckless charge in a last-ditch effort to save his assets. They will not survive.

Reku was firing away at the opposing army with ki blasts his right hand. The three other saiyans stayed close to him. They were firing with everything they had, and were only just managing to take them down. Reku knew that they the Saiyan Army needed work due to Quemon’s terrible rule, but it seemed this was going to harder than he thought. He made a mental note to himself to increase the power of the saiyans so that they could be a more effective force.
Some of the merchants brought fancy looking weapons and began to fight off the pirates. Others began to run for cover, but were blasted to pieces by the enemy soldiers. Reku admired them for defending themselves and part of him was saddened to see that their efforts were in vain. Suddenly, another wave arrived and Reku could sense that these were even stronger.
“So this is how they plan on attacking. They’re going to keep going until they can overwhelm us.” Reku said to his escorts. One of them looked around for a way out, but simply shook his head. “They’re everywhere. I don’t think there’s an exit.” He replied. Reku’s white aura flared to life and looked to the army charging them. “Then we’ll make one. Kamehame… HA!” He shouted, thrusting his hands forward and firing a large, blue beam of ki through the crowd, incinerating a great deal of enemy warriors.
Having finally cleared a path to the saiyan pods, Reku motioned his escorts to follow him. They ran through the army, punching and kicking their way through anyone who had survived the blast and decided to charge them. One in particular jumped and attempted to punch Reku in the face, but the King grabbed his arm and threw to the side, blasting him in midair. They made it to their pods, but as Reku looked back, more and more enemies were arriving. “Hurry.” He ordered, beginning to climb into his pod.
“What about them?” One of the saiyans as he pointed to the merchants. Reku paused for a moment, looking at them. They were getting slaughtered and their numbers were getting cut down. He saw one of them strap something to his chest. It had a strange blinking light and he just charged into the army and the other survivors went back into their ship and began to take off. At first, Reku was confused, but his eyes widened upon realizing what was going on. “Nevermind them! GO!” He ordered. The saiyan pods took off from the settlement, and it wasn’t long before a huge explosion erupted on the settlement. A merchant had sacrificed himself to save his assets.
Breather
You may have won this engagement, but your enemies are endless! The city has been ravaged. One of the Merchants is dead; if you don't come up with a plan quickly, Arlia as you know it will cease to exist. Will you save the day, or will you take the opportunity to swap sides?

Reku and his saiyans sat in their pods, trying to figure out what to do. One of the merchants were already dead, and they had just met them. Looking out the window, he could see even more enemy ships fly toward the destroyed city. “These guys sure are relentless sons of bitches. Even when the enemies are already dead they still send more. I wonder where they come from? Who was is the leader of all of these pirates?” He asked himself.
The saiyans travelled to another planetoid and the ships crashed onto the rocky surface. As they got up, they looked at the city in the distance. The three saiyans were about to make their way over to the populace, but Reku stopped them. He pointed to the smoke that seemed to be coming from it. “The city probably isn’t so good either. I can even see the ships hovering above the city.” He said.
Looking back out into space, Reku saw the other asteroids nearby. He saw ships coming to and from them, but couldn’t tell which side they were on. Explosions went across the vacuum as the ships battled each other. He saw enemies dropping down and blasting away at the cities. One of the saiyan escorts whistled, a little caught off guard by the amount of fighting that was happening in this asteroid.
“No wonder they attract so much attention here. This isn’t a pirate raid, this is a damn war. And a constant one at that. Even we don’t get this much action this often.” He commented. Reku nodded, chuckling at the statement due to how much truth applied to it. “Indeed, though I don’t know why they try and fight back. If there are as many pirates as I think there are, than these Arlians don’t stand a chance.”
The third escort, a female saiyan, put her hands on her hips. “Well this sucks. We came for supplies and all we got was this mess. What do we do now?” She asked. Reku thought for a moment before coming up with an idea. “Well we aren’t leaving empty handed, not after all that crap we just went through. We’re going to get something one way or another. We’re going to join the pirates.” He ordered.
The female saiyan nodded in response, smirking. “Heh, alright then. Maybe I can get something nice for myself, who knows.” Reku rolled his eyes and the other two male saiyans laughed. He looked at the ships that were flying around above them shot one of them in the side with a simple ki blast. “That should get their attention.” He said. The ship came down and opened up and pirates spilled out and pointed their guns at them.
Reku just looked at them and said, “Oh please, don’t even bother. Just take me to your leader.”
Deal!?!?!
Your efforts have clearly changed the tide of the battle. This contribution is rewarded with a message from the other side. No matter how many times you've switched sides, they offer you a deal far beyond what is believable. Both sides are clearly loaded beyond belief, so it just might be possible. Do you trust these people?

Reku and his saiyan escorts sat in a ship belonging to the invading pirates. They were supposed to go meet with with the leader. The King wanted to discuss terms for a treaty, since Reku had seen the potential these pirates had. As they journeyed over, he got a message on his communicator that he was given before they left to switch sides. It was from the merchants, and he couldn’t believe what it read.
“Come back, and we will not only pay you, but give you a special artifact with grants nigh-infinite power. Only a saiyan can wield it, which is why we tried to hard to recruit you all. We must end this fight once and for all.” Reku saw the message and gave it to his escort across from him and his eyes widened as well. He wasn’t sure if he could trust them, but he decided to at least hear them out. Giving a signal to one of the saiyans, the escort got up and snapped the driver’s neck and took over the ship. They headed back to the Merchant’s location.

The End?
The battle is over, but at what cost? A ruler dead, and another injured. Out of nowhere, you see a pod coming. A Golden pod. As it closes in, you sense that this pod contains 200,000 PL. Stay and fight or run and leave. Goldy's 200k and he has no tolerance for weaklings. Another Merchant does not make it.

The ship landed at the merchant’s location and the saiyans saw their pods conveniently nearby. The female saiyan spoke first, as she was very angry that someone had touched her stuff. “Did you fly my ship? Only I can fly this ship. The next time I see one of you touch it, you’re DEAD. Understand?” She yelled with a glare. Reku and the two other escorts got out and sighed.
“Calm down. They couldn’t have done anything to them, there’s nothing around here to use.” Reku ordered. The female saiyan silenced herself, at least for now. The King approached the merchant who contacted them. “Where’s the sword? I thought you had it with you.” He asked, already skeptical. Reku already began to focus ki into his own hand to blast the merchant to smithereens.
“Ah yes, the sword. It’s right over-” He was suddenly interrupted as a gold saiyan pod crashed into the rock almost right next to them. Reku’s eyes widened, sensing the enormous ki that radiated from the ship. The saiyans began to get into a fighting stance, but Reku held up his hand to stop them. They, including the merchant, look confused. One of saiyans blurted out. “We aren’t going to fight it? We’re not cowards! If we back down now we won’t even be better than the-” Reku quickly turned towards him and blurted out, “SILENCE.”
The saiyan backed away in fear, and Reku turned toward the pod as it began to open. “All of you, get to cover. Don’t get in my way or you will die.” He ordered. The saiyans dragged the merchant behind a large pile of rubble. A woman stepped out, and her name was Goldy. Reku immediately transformed into his Super Saiyan form, knowing what was about to follow.
“Show me what you’ve got.”

No matter if you had a brief encounter with Goldy or not, you are once again approached by the last surviving Merchant. He informs you with great humor that the Golden power was 'Emperor' Goldy, who has taken control of the Hub: the largest, wealthiest planet. You also learn that these battles are quite common.

Reku found himself in a meeting with the last surviving merchant. He was badly wounded. The battle wasn’t decided, but Goldy fled for some reason. Reku was holding his own, but she seemed to be holding something back the entire time. Did he not face her true power? A saiyan was guarding to the entrance to a house they were in. The other two stood at the King’s bedside as rested from his battle with Goldy. “Yes, the one you had fought is known as Goldy. She has taken control of the richest planet, the Hub.” The merchant looked passed the saiyan guard and into the sky. “These types of battles are very common here, unfortunately.” He said. Reku couldn’t help but think that was why they were in so much trouble. They have had no time to recover from the constant battle that reigned on their planets.
Lessons Learned?
The final Merchant refuses to pay you a penny. These "Merchants" are no better than the pirates that have been plaguing the solar system. Face it, you've been conned. Fraud like this is very common in Arlia. You part with this shyster stronger (and maybe a little cynical).

Reku and the other saiyans approached the the pods they had come in. It was time for them to leave to go back to their home planet. Nothing had really been accomplished, due to all the constant fighting. He felt like he had wasted his time and wanted to leave with something. Seeing the merchant approach them, Reku demanded that he’d get some money. The merchant laughed in response which had signaled his refusal.
“You’d think we’d ever give you anything? All that stuff was stolen to begin with. The pirates that invaded probably want their stuff back. I guess I should’ve told you sooner, but you kept switching sides so who knew if you could be trusted. You got conned, kid. Now run back to your planet, false king. A powerful sword? What a fool.” He replied, chuckling as he walked back to his ship and took off.
The saiyans near Reku had their eyes widened in disbelief. Reku looked at the ship take off, and took a deep breath. He looked at the saiyans, telling them to get back in their pods and prepare for departure. As they did so, Reku transformed into Super Saiyan, held his hand up towards the fleeing ship, and fired a powerful Dark Blast. The ship exploded and a faint cry could be heard as Reku felt his energy drop and disappear. Without another word, he got back into his own pod and the four saiyans returned to Vegeta.
